Presented by John Hemingway.
John Hemingway puts the “champ” in champagne with his no bull talk on the Pamploma Possee: Special reception to follow
Imagine running with a herd of half-ton stampeding bulls down the narrow, cobbled streets of Pamplona, hoping to God you don’t get gored. Every year, thousands do, including the grandson of the world’s most famous writer, John Hemingway.
John will present these thrilling feats during a one-hour talk from 6:00pm-7:00pm Thursday night at the San Carlos Institute as part of Key West Art & Historical Society’s Distinguished Speaker Series. Come listen in to his unique experiences with “The Pamploma Posse” & learn how Ernest’s 1926 novel “The Sun Also Rises” catapulted this centuries-old tradition into the world-renowned party it is today. Then enjoy the enigmatic company of John afterwards in an hour-long champagne reception, where more stories are sure to be revealed.
John is the guest of honor at Friday night’s “The Hemingway Experience,” which is now sold out. Because the Society wants to accommodate as many people that are interested in meeting him as possible, they are now offering reduced-price tickets for “John Hemingway’s Pamplona Posse” – $20 (nonmembers) & $10 (KWAHS members), available through kwahs.org/event/john-hemingways-pamplona-posse.
